porscheNew Panamera Goes On Sale This Saturday!

Sewickley, PA, October 13, 2009 – Sewickley PORSCHE announced that the all-new 2010 Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo will arrive this week and go on sale officially this weekend.

The new Panamera is the first all-new Porsche in seven years and represents the renowned German sports car company’s first four-door luxury sedan in its 61 year history.  The Panamera is now the fourth model line for Porsche and one of the most highly anticipated vehicles since the company announced it would build it more than four years ago.

“This is a historic car launch for Porsche and for Sewickley Porsche,” said Sewickley Porsche.  “With this sedan, Porsche is essentially creating a new vehicle concept that is a true sports car with four-doors, four seats, eight cylinders, seven gears and a multitude of new technical and design features.  It is truly unlike anything else on the road.”

The new Panamera looks like a sports car with the low, aggressive silhouette of a coupe, while still providing four full size seats and very generous passenger and luggage space.  From a performance standpoint, this new Porsche sets new class standards.  For example, the 400-horsepower V8 engine offers an EPA estimated 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, while the 500 horsepower V8 twin turbo engine offers 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.  Both of these ratings are best-in-class.  Additionally, the 500-horsepower Panamera Turbo accelerates to 60 mph in just 4 seconds with a top test track speed of 188 mph.

“The most important task in designing, developing and building the Panamera was to combine Porsche’s sports car DNA and its historic racing heritage with all the spaciousness and driving comfort of a supremely luxurious full-size sedan.  It is the alternative car for the premium customer and aims to be the clear segment leader in terms of performance, driving dynamics and efficiency,” said Sewickley Porsche.

The Panamera model range includes the Panamera S, Panamera 4S and the previously mentioned Panamera Turbo.

The MSRP for the Panamera S is $89,800; the Panamera 4S is $93,800 and Panamera Turbo is 132,600.
